- 1 If you need prescription lenses, get a copy of your prescription from your eye care professional. In addition to your prescription we will need your pupillary distance, in millimeters. This is a standard measurement taken by your eye care professional and is used to make sure the focal point of your new lenses is positioned directly in front of your eyes' opening, the pupil.
- 2 Go to any eyewear retail store and browse for the style and color frames that are right for you. When you have a couple picked out, note the frame size and color (see below) or ask the salesperson to show you.

- The first number is the Lens Width, the distance between the widest part
of the inside and outside of the lens.
- The second number is the Bridge Width, the distance between each lenses
spanned by the bridge over the nose.
- The third number is the Temple Length, measured from the front of the
hinge to the back of the temple support.
